During the fourth quarter of 2024, the top communication apps in Oceania showed varied performance trends across downloads, revenue, and active users. This report, based on data from Sensor Tower, highlights these trends for the unified platform.

Messenger from Meta Platforms, Inc. experienced fluctuations in weekly revenue, peaking at around $668 in mid-November. Downloads saw an upward trend with a high of approximately 66.5K in late December, while active users slightly decreased from 13.8M to 13.7M over the quarter.

WhatsApp Messenger, published by WhatsApp LLC, maintained a consistent download rate, reaching its peak at about 62.1K in late October. Active user numbers started at 17M, gradually declining to 16.8M by the end of December.

Snapchat from Snap Inc. saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at $381K in early November. Downloads spiked in late December at approximately 54.4K, while active users remained stable around 5.4M throughout the quarter.

Telegram by Telegram FZ-LLC showed varied revenue trends, peaking at $51K in late October. Downloads were highest in early December at about 39.5K, and active users increased from 1.9M to 2.1M by the end of December.

Finally, Discord - Talk, Play, Hang Out from Discord Inc. saw a revenue peak at $87K in late December. Downloads consistently increased, reaching 29.6K in the same period, while active users showed a slight decline from 1.7M to 1.6M.
